+ led a very sheltered and religious life under the lordship of his parents. they were exceptionally strict and often times would even lie to him about certain things such as babies coming from pelippers which he believed until he was sixteen years old.

+ didn't go to public school, was taught basic studies at home and finished with a high school education by the time he was fifteen years old. spent most of his time after studying religion for his parents but would study ancient pokémon myths that contradicted his religion in secret.

+ that's probably the most rebellious thing he's done... boy's a virgin.

+ ran away from home after his parents gave him the ultimatum of their 'love,' lordship, or being kicked out to live on his own when he told them he didn't want to be a priest.

+ so now he's living in slateport city with a job as an archivist at the national museum of natural history!
